How to Charge Your Vehicle
-
Locate & Park
Use the ChargePoint App to find charging stations on your property.
Park in a designated EV stall.
Connect
Open your charging port (like a fuel cap).
Plug in the J1772 connector (Tesla drivers use an adapter).
Start Charging
Pay at the station with a card or start the session through the charging app.
Monitor
Track progress on your dashboard, the station screen, or app.
End Session
Stop charging in the app or station, unlock the cable, and return it to the holder.
-
Never use an extension cord to charge. EV chargers use heavy-duty wiring to handle high power; extension cords can overheat, cause fire, or cause electric shock.
Ensure the connector is fully inserted and locked before starting.
Avoid charging if the station or connector looks damaged.
Do not forcibly unplug while current is flowing; always stop the session first.
-
Station not starting
Check that your account is active and payment method is valid. Try another charger port.
Connector stuck / won’t detach
Confirm the session is fully ended. Press the release button or follow the instructions in the app if it's still stuck. If necessary, call maintenance support.
Charging interrupts/stops unexpectedly
Could be a power issue, station fault, or vehicle issue - report to support and try another port if available.
-
The amount of time it takes to charge your EV depends on the vehicle.
Level 2 charging requires 4–7 hours for a full charge.
Voltage power output varies per vehicle.
Each hour of charging provides approximately 25 miles.
Avoid Idling Fees by unplugging vehicle once full.
